July 2008

  • 29th - Preston Carers Talk and Social, 12noon to 1.30pm at Preston Carers Centre. Speaker Barbara Roebuck, Telecare Service aids to live independently.
  • 31st - Comensus Sumer Fair at Salvation Army. Stalls, music, face painting, information, food and drink. All welcome.

August 2008

  • 5th - Preston Asian Carers Forum no meeting due to school holidays
  • 13th - Learning Disability Carers Network 10.30am - 12.00pm at Preston Carers Centre. All Carers for people with a Learning Disability are welcome to attend this meeting.
  • 20th - Carers Trip details will be sent out to Carers shortly
  • 26th - Preston Carers Talk and Social, 12noon to 1.30pm at Preston Carers Centre. Speaker Mary Donlan, Lancashire Volunteer Services.

September 2008

  • 2nd - Preston Asian Carers Forum no meeting due to school holidays
  • 10th - Lancashire Carers Forum Annual Conference at Woodlands, Chorley. Contact Peter at Preston Carers Centre for further details.

Our free courses are for Carers only and must be booked in advance, unless otherwise stated. Priority is given to Carers who are registered on our database, if you have not already completed a database form please contact the Carers Centre.

Carers Breaks

Details are in our newsletter. Activities include computing, crafts, alternative therapies, relaxation techniques, watercolours. Breaks range from 4 hour taster sessions to five week courses of 2 hours per week. We aim to hold three full carers days each year at local venues.
